Rihanna At Pharrell Williams’s First Fashion Show For Louis Vuitton

The clientele of Jacob & Co includes the who’s who from the worlds of music, Hollywood and sports, and several other fields. One of the most celebrated personalities associated with the statement-making American brand of Swiss-made watches is Rihanna—the international pop icon, who is also a billionaire business owner. She was seen most recently at the highly talked-about Louis Vuitton fashion show earlier this month. The men’s spring/summer 2024 edition, this show happened to be the first with Pharrell Williams as the creative director of the French couture maison.

Better known as a musician, singer-songwriter and music producer, Pharrell Williams’s new role in the fashion world itself has been a part of the social conversation in the lifestyle and culture communities. It was no surprise then that the guest list at this event had more than a smattering of stars.

Present in an official capacity, as a new Louis Vuitton ambassador, was Rihanna, who was seen at the event wearing a Jacob & co ‘WatchChoker’. This was an innovative way of wearing a timepiece, as the watch was not originally intended to be a necklace piece. The watch adapted for her neck was the Jacob & Co Brilliant Flying Tourbillon, which was set with 338 baguette-cut white diamonds.

A trendsetter in her own right, Rihanna has likely set another trend with this appearance. Pendant watches have been around forever, but chokers, not so much. One might question: how would the wearer see the time though? They wouldn’t. Luxury watches are hardly about their utilitarian appeal anyway.

Phil Dunster At Various Ted Lasso Finale-Related Events

Ted Lasso, the hit, award-winning comedy series from Apple TV+ recently ended its short and sweet three-season run. Around the time the series ended, there were several events held for screenings of the finale, and other promotional activities, in association with various publications and media outlets. One of the actors from the series, Phil Dunster—who played footballer Jamie Tart in the show—was present at a lot of these events. Each time, the English actor was seen wearing an Omega Speedmaster 38. A smaller edition of Omega’s signature chronograph watch, the Speedmaster 38 is slightly smaller and dressier than the 42mm Moonwatch edition. The one that Dunster has been seen wearing is in steel and gold, with a green leather strap and other complementary green elements, such as the tachymeter scale and the chronograph hands. The Master Chronometer watch runs on a 52-hour automatic calibre.

Andrew Garfield At A Zegna Fashion Brunch

Another fashion show in the mix, here is the Zegna spring/summer 2024 show. English actor Andrew Garfield was spotted at the Italian luxury fashion label’s showcase, as well as the brand’s brunch. During brunch, the timepiece Garfield was wearing was fairly visible. It could be any gold dress watch, but going by his past several public appearances, one could safely guess that it was Omega, as it has been for months now. What he was wearing at Zegna seemed most like the De Ville Trésor in Sedna gold—Omega’s proprietary red gold alloy—with a brown leather strap.
