Speake-Marin Ripples

History

While celebrating the 20th year anniversary, Speake-Marin decided to craft a timepiece that would perfectly encapsulate those 20 years in one single timepiece. That particular timepiece was called the Ripples and was placed under the Speake-Marin Temptation collection. It became the first watch that included an integrated steel bracelet by the brand.

Design

Inspired by modern architecture and especially London, the collection is equipped with the brand’s first sport-chic watches. Inside the Temptation collection is the coveted Ripples. The Ripples is equipped with the “La City” case which in itself takes its inspiration from London’s financial district. Apart from the case, the Ripples are fitted with hands that resemble the hands of “Big Ben”. This affection towards the city is perfectly emboldened by its casual elegance and perfectly blends aesthetic sharpness with ruggedness.

Features

The Speake-Marin Temptation collection is home to its in-house movements and one can identify the same with the uniquely placed small seconds sub-dial between the 1 and 2 o’clock marker. The dial features a rather unique effect, a ripple which is why the name, Ripples. Another limited edition timepiece is the Ripples Anniversary which features a yellow-gold dial.
