About the Rado True Thinline Collection
At the forefront of Rado’s ceramic revolution, the True Thinline is a collection of sophisticated round timepieces cast in the brand’s signature high-tech ceramic. These Rado watches for men and women were introduced in 2011 as Rado’s slimmest watch and the first to feature their iconic monobloc case. The unique case construction with a single piece of high-tech ceramic bolstered Rado’s legacy as the Master of Materials. The injected monobloc case, which is highly pliant in nature, renders the collection a platform for myriad design experimentation. As a result, Rado True Thinline houses a slew of interesting dress watches, offering as much style as comfort and wearability.
Rado True Thinline – Collection Breakdown
A fluid round case, clean and minimalist dials, and resilient ceramic construction are the sine qua nons of the Rado True Thinline collection. These elements are coupled with endless versatility offered through unique and riveting iterations powered by automatic and quartz movements. Within the True Thinline Diamond series, understated dials are subtly adorned with diamonds as hour markers for a more luxurious look. This particular series of Rado watches traverses the realms of everyday dress watches to statement pieces most effortlessly with its understated white ceramic and bold black versions.
True Thinline X Design
Rado have truly explored the design potential of their True Thinline collection through various intriguing collaborations. In 2017, the brand partnered with Grandi Giardini Italiani, or the Great Gardens of the World, creating a series of timepieces that evoke the beauty of nature. Another celebrated collaboration within this collection is with the revered architect and designer Charles-Édouard Jeanneret, known as Le Corbusier. In 2019, Rado released nine iterations of the True Round Thinline Les Couleurs™ Le Corbusier watches, inspired by the designer’s Architectural Polychromy system. Other designer alliances include True Thinline My Bird with the Russian artist and designer Evgenia Miro and True Thinline Stillness with renowned trend researcher Li Edelkoort.

ABOUT THE MOVEMENT
The automatic Rado calibre R766 is derived from the ETA 2892 movement, boasting 21 jewels with a date aperture positioned at six o'clock. However, the calibre has been slightly upgraded to provide an extended 72-hour reserve in contrast to the standard 42-hour power reserve of the 2892. It also features an anti-magnetic Nivacrhon hairspring. Rado timepieces utilising this movement can be found within the Diamaster and Anatom collections.
