The Omega Globemaster Co‑Axial Master Chronometer Annual Calendar 41 mm merges iconic heritage with modern mastery, solidifying its legendary status in the Omega lineup. Housed in a stainless steel case with an elegant polished 18K Sedna gold fluted bezel, this 41 mm timepiece captures both classic and contemporary design elements. The sun-brushed grey "Pie Pan" dial, a tribute to the original 1952 Constellation, features facets marking the months of the year for the Annual Calendar function. The refined 18K Sedna gold Constellation star, Omega logo, and hands and hour markers, filled with Super-LumiNova, enhance readability and visual depth. The caseback showcases a Central Observatory medallion, framed by scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, further paying homage to Omega’s chronometer tradition. A brown leather strap completes the sophisticated design, offering a warm contrast to the dial’s subtle tones. At its core lies the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Annual Calendar calibre 8922, a powerhouse of precision and innovation, boasting revolutionary anti-magnetic technology and certified by METAS.

About the Omega Constellation Collection

Launched in 1952, the Constellation collection stands as one of Omega's oldest and most prestigious lines. Initially released as the brand's first mass-produced chronometer wristwatch, the collection quickly gained recognition for its exceptional precision and design. The Constellation's name and emblem, a Geneva Observatory surrounded by eight stars, pay homage to Omega's achievements in chronometry. These stars represent the eight chronometric awards Omega won between 1933 and 1952, underscoring the brand's relentless pursuit of precision. Today, the collection offers a diverse range of models, each embodying the brand's commitment to craftsmanship and innovation.

Design And Features

The Constellation series is renowned for its design elements, such as the distinctive "claws" and the half-moon facets on the case. As a collection of elegant dress watches, many Constellation watches feature diamonds or other gemstones on the bezel, dial, or case. Over the years, Omega has continually updated the Constellation collection, introducing new models and advanced movements. The range now includes over 500 models, catering to both men and women, with options in various materials and sizes.

The collection also offers a variety of strap and bracelet options, including the newly redesigned semi-integrated bracelet with its distinctive centre links and polished bevels. Despite its evolution, the Constellation remains a symbol of precision and luxury, embodying Omega's commitment to horological excellence.

Globemaster

The Omega Constellation Globemaster, reintroduced in 2015, was the first watch to boast the prestigious Master Chronometer certification. It reimagines the classic design elements of Omega's mid-20th-century Constellation watches while incorporating modern technology. This design is complemented by a fluted bezel, which, while reminiscent of Omega's heritage, brings a fresh sophistication to the watch's overall visual appeal and makes it a refined dress watch.

ABOUT THE MOVEMENT

Another Omega Master Co-Axial movement from the 89XX family is the 2016-released 8922. Based on calibre 8900, the 8922 self-winding movement brings an annual calendar complication to the mix, featuring date and month in addition to hours, minutes, and seconds. As a result, this calibre automatically accounts for 30 and 31-day months. The key ingredients of an Omega in-house movement — a co-axial escapement leading to METAS certification with resistance against magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss, silicon balance spring, and free-sprung balance — are all present in calibre 8922. It provides an accuracy of +0-5 seconds per day and 55 hours of power reserve while operating at a frequency of 25,200 vibrations per hour. It is used primarily in the annual calendar version of Omega Globemaster.
