Product Description
History
In 1917, a small clockworks factory was established at Lengnau, in Switzerland. The factory called the Schlup and Company soon turned from manufacturers of watch movements to manufacturers of timepieces. In 1957, they launched their first line of watches under the brand name ‘Rado’. Subsequently, the company also renamed itself. In 1958, recognizing Rado’s potential, the ASUAG acquired it. ASUAG became a part of the SMH Group a few years later. Since 1998, this group has called itself the Swatch Group.
These three Swiss brothers had a firm belief in the progress of technology, which has been the touchstone of Rado’s progress. The Rado DiaStar, launched in 1962, was the world’s first range of scratch-proof watches. In 2004, the Guinness Book of World Records awarded the company for the V10K, Rado’s hardest watch.
Design
Remodelling the Coupole line originally launched in 1987, Rado created timepieces combining the elegance of the early designs and the technological precision lately developed. The Coupole L Quartz model R22852173 for men, is a part of this line. A bold black dial, off set by rose gold stick hour indices and watch hands, has a muted sheen. Protected by the scratch proof sapphire crystal, the watch retains its exquisite appearance for years.
The lightweight stainless steel bracelet allows you great comfort, while you have the timepiece on. Rose gold tone PVD coated stainless steel links alternating with the natural grey of the stainless steel, match perfectly with the watch face.
Features
Packed with features, this Coupole watch has a date aperture beside the 3 o’ clock position. The large size of the dial aids in hassle-free time and date viewing. Swiss made quartz technology keeps the date and time updated. Further, the watch comes with a water resistance of 5 bars.
