About the Perrelet Turbine Collection

Perrelet's Turbine collection is renowned for its distinctive and innovative design, centred around a unique spinning dial mechanism inspired by aeronautics. Introduced in 2009, the collection is a modern evolution of Perrelet’s signature double rotor technology, which dates back to the 1990s. The standout feature of the Turbine collection is its multi-blade rotor on the dial, which rotates with wrist movement, creating a captivating visual effect that reveals contrasting colours, patterns, or images underneath.

Features

Crafted with technical prowess, the collection is primarily housed in robust 44mm and 48mm cases, often in stainless steel or titanium, and features Perrelet's in-house automatic movements. Many models incorporate a dual rotor system, with one visible on the dial and the other powering the automatic winding mechanism. The Turbine Pilot models add a more functional edge, offering complications such as chronographs and calculation scales for aviators. These timepieces maintain a bold, sporty aesthetic, with luminescent hands and markers.

Iterations

Perrelet's Turbine collection has evolved through several captivating iterations, each bringing its own unique character to the iconic design. The Turbine Carbon introduces a lightweight yet durable carbon fibre case, emphasising the brand's commitment to cutting-edge materials. The Turbine EVO refines the original design with sleeker lines and enhanced ergonomics, offering improved comfort and a modern aesthetic. The Turbine Full Lum takes visual allure to new heights, featuring fully luminescent blades that glow in the dark, creating a striking contrast against the lower dial. Perrelet's dedication to exclusivity is evident in their Limited Edition Turbine models, where rare materials and bold design elements are utilised to craft truly exceptional pieces. Lastly, the Turbine Titanium 41 offers a more compact 41mm case in lightweight titanium, catering to those who prefer a refined, sporty look with the collection’s hallmark turbine movement. Each iteration highlights the brand’s relentless pursuit of innovation while maintaining the bold, dynamic spirit of the original collection.
