A stylish time piece dedicated to divers, this model has a blue dial housed in an 18 ct white gold case. It is engraved with circular index markers and hour hands with a long lasting blue luminescence. There is a date display window at 3 o’ clock. The unidirectional rotating bezel made of blue ceramic has been engraved with a 60 minute diving scale. The three link bracelet has been crafted with 18 ct white gold and has a folding safety clasp. The time piece has a case size diameter of 40 mm and it is water resistant to 300 m.

In 1953, an era when scuba diving was all the rage, the Rolex Submariner was introduced at the Basel Fair. A popular choice as a commercial diver's watch, it was the first timepiece to be resistant to water at a depth of 100 meters. One of the most iconic collections from Rolex, the Submariner has over the years incorporated various technical modifications while staying true to the quintessential design it came to be known for.

A Submariner flaunts a 40-mm steel case with a screw-down case back. Fitted with a screw-down winding crown, the timepiece is equipped with the Triplock triple waterproofness system that assures water-resistance to a depth of 300 metres. The scratch-resistant sapphire crystal glass is also provided with a Cyclops lens over the date indicator located at the 3 o'clock position in the dial in the Submariner Date models. The three-link steel bracelet ends into a safety clasp that can also be extended. In the 2008 and later models, the unidirectional bezel boasts of gold or platinum-coated numerals. The dial sports seconds, minutes, hour hands and markers those which are luminescent; aiding in easy readability.

A number of Bond movies have had James Bond sport a Submariner on his wrist. In 1960, The renowned diving company COMEX of France conferred the Submariner as their gadget of choice for saturation divers.  The Submariner has also been consistently popular with military divers since it has proved its finesse in the most extreme of water conditions through the years.
