About the H. Moser & Cie. Pioneer Collection

History

Launched in 2015, the H. Moser & Cie. Pioneer collection started out with the Pioneer Centre Seconds series. Since then, the Pioneer collection has become the perfect combination of a dress and a sports watch.

The Cylindrical Tourbillon

A terrarium of watchmaking prowess, the H. Moser & Cie. Cylindrical Tourbillon Skeleton is a protruding representation of the brand’s acumen. A three-dimensional representation of one of the world’s most complicated complications, the cylindrical tourbillon is a simplified nomenclature of a flying tourbillon. The one-minute flying tourbillon is fixed at the 6 o’clock marker and is equipped with a cylindrical balance spring. At the 12 o’clock marker is the main dial displaying time with 3D index markers. The automatic HMC 811 movement is displayed by a skeleton dial and offers a power reserve of approximately 72 hours.

The Pioneer

The Peter Parker of H. Moser & Cie. Pioneer collection has a dual persona to it. A sports-oriented timepiece with its robust case and a water-resistant capacity of 120 meters, the Pioneer also doubles up as a sleek dress watch. With a sturdy case, the Pioneer Tourbillon series is also fixed with a one-minute flying tourbillon at the 6 o’clock marker. Inside the Pioneer Tourbillon is the automatic HMC 804 movement, a movement that is equipped with the brand’s proprietary double hairspring. Apart from the tourbillon, the collection is also home to two different perpetual calendar complications. The first is the Pioneer Perpetual Calendar MD where the month and the date windows are fixed at the 3 o’clock marker. The other iteration to the complication is the Pioneer Perpetual Calendar where the months are marked by the 12-hour indexes pointed by a tiny central hand. Whereas, the leap year marker in both the iterations is placed at the case back shaped like a star.
