Rado has been one of the leaders in the watch making industry since the last century. Established by three brothers, with a visionary approach, in a small Swiss town, Rado began growing ever since its inception in 1917. In 1957, it was a full fledged watch maker, which witnessed unperturbed success. With a multitude of inventions, the company shaped the art of modern watch making to a great extent. Rado understands precious metals better than any other, and hence, their timepieces aren’t engineered, but imagined for success.
An addition to the Integral Jubile collection, the R20861752 is a tastefully designed piece, which features a combination of black and silver, studded with diamonds. Rectangular in shape, the black toned ceramic case measures 31mm. The black dial is enclosed in the case, and is embellished by 6 diamond markers on either side to indicate the hours. The luminous silver hands are zealously placed amidst the piece, and a date indicator is placed at the 6 o’ clock position.
Crafted with stainless steel and ceramic links, the bracelet lends to the perfection that the piece thrives to achieve.
A signature feature of all Rado watches is the tough and sturdy scratch resistant sapphire crystal. The first watch to incorporate this was the Integral watch, which was invented in 1986. This piece is no exception; in fact it is a manifestation of the excellent craftsmanship, which was pioneered by the founders. Another intriguing feature of this piece is the titanium push button clasp. The watch works with Swiss quartz movement and functions date, hour, minutes and seconds. A screw down case back, and free bracelet sizing, make the watch impeccable in every aspect. Furthermore, it is also water resistant up to 30 meters, making it a long lasting piece, which represents the undying success of the brand.
Rado was formed in 1917 as, Schlup and Co., which produced watch movements only. With the launch of its collection of watches in 1957, under the name Rado, it amazed the world with its innovations. Today with 470 skilled workers the brand produces half million watches every year.
First produced in 1986, the Rado Integral was the first Rado watch in high-tech ceramic. A revolution in the watchmaking industry, it fuses the purity of graphic linearity with the finesse of high technology, seamlessly integrating a metallised sapphire crystal, case and bracelet within parallel lines. This new collection remains true to the original but is new for 2014.
Rado has won the Good Design Award for its innovative Hyperchrome Ceramic Touch in 2013 and 2014 by The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design.
