About the Montblanc Boheme Collection

History
Montblanc became registered as a trademark in 1910 and since then the company has continued to manufacture writing instruments that have been a source of pride for collectors across the globe. The Montblanc Boheme Collection was launched in 2000 and was inspired by the belief that writing should be a thrilling experience - be it for signing a cheque with flourish or for the quaint exercise of writing a letter.

Design
The traditional Mountblanc pens inspire the aesthetics of the range. They represent skilled craftsmanship, precision work and enchanting designs. The artisans have an eye for detail, which makes each pen a vintage collectible. The nibs of the fountain pens are made of gold with rhodium plating. The body makes use of materials like Lacquer and resin. This imparts the pens from this range with a regal appearance responsible for making them the number one choice among writing enthusiasts across the globe. The craftsmanship, which goes into making the Boheme Series, is a flawless manufacturing technique, which has been handed down through generations. The company often credits its craftsman as artists who orchestrate the most perfect writing instruments with undying passion and incomparable skills. According to Montblanc, a nib alone needs one hundred work stages to be perfected.

Features
The Boheme collection features several writing instruments, each unique in its own way. It includes Fountain pens – the kind of instrument Montblanc is most famous for, rollerball pens, ballpoint pens, and mechanical pencils. The common feature present across the range is the set of three rings that can be found on the barrel of each pen. One of the most jewelled piece in the collection exhibits 1,430 brilliant diamonds, which weigh 15 carats in total.
