Finding its origin in a place called Saint-Imeir, Longines was set up in the year 1832, with Auguste Agassiz as its pioneer. Initially, the brand started off with him and his two partners selling pocket watches similar to that of the Swiss watch making industry. But by 1867, the three were now aiming towards ceaseless growth and development. With constant innovation, by 1876 the brand had developed a mechanized form of production, which now aimed to offer higher accuracy and caliber in all its pieces.
With fast paced progress, in 1913, Longines was able to design its very own collection of wristwatches, followed by the introduction of its own Quartz clock, now promising precision with style. Today, identified through its unique winged hourglass logo, the presence of the brand can be felt over 140 countries across the globe, reflecting performance, style and quality.
