Raymond Weil was founded in 1976. The brand has had an interesting journey ever since its foundation. It was started in a time, when the watch industry was in crisis. While several watch companies ran out of business, Raymond Weil set forth on a path of success. Since childhood, Mr. Weil was enamoured by the art of watch making, and finally put his passion to work. The connoisseur centralised his company around music, because music was the centre of the world for him. His Maestro collection is one of the many, which has musical connotations attached to it. The watch maker has continuously emphasised on perfection. He treats each piece as a work of art, where every detail is unconditionally cared for. The brand is now under Elie Bernheim, Raymond Weil’s grandson.
The Maestro 2837-PC-50001 is an extraordinary timepiece for men. The stainless steel case, with gold PVD polish, has a diameter of 39.5 mm, and thickness of 9.15 mm. It has a royal blue dial, with gold indices marking the hours. Minutes are shown on an outer circle
This beautiful case rests on a genuine black leather strap, which clasps through a traditional stainless steel, gold polished buckle. The case has a skeletal back, giving a peek into the balance wheel of the watch. It has a gold RW crown. The watch is unique and classy.
The Maestro 2837-PC-50001 has mechanical movement, with automatic winding, and a calibre of 4.6 mm height, with reserved power for 38 hours. It performs the date function through the window at 3 o’clock, and performs the hour, minutes, and seconds functions too. The sapphire crystals, on both sides, immune the watch to reflection and scratches, and make it sturdy. It is water resistant up to 50 m.
Upholding its tradition of producing watches that make checking time an experience in and of itself, in 2010, Raymond Weil introduced the Maestro collection of wristwatches. The Maestro series later launched the Maestro Phase de Lune model in 2011, which true to its name allowed the inspection of certain lunar complexities as an added feature. The Maestro 35th anniversary edition was also launched the same year to commemorate 35 years of Raymond Weil’s glorious existence as one of the world’s leading watch manufacturers.
The Maestro collection of watches is designed envisioning the requirements of both men and women, offering a plethora of designs to choose from. The watches come in stainless steel or gold cases with the crown adorned with the Raymond Weil logo. Sapphire crystal with double-sided anti-glare treatment has been used as the glass material. The crown can be used to adjust the hour as well the date functions. The watches intended for the ladies are adorned with decorative elements and diamonds have been used liberally in the more lavish models . The straps are made with pure leather and enhanced with alligator finish or feature stainless steel bracelets.
In addition to the main dial displaying time, there are smaller windows, which display day, date and month as well depending on the watch. The Maestro Phase de Lune also incorporates lunar phase related information. Some of the watches in the Maestro series come with a transparent back cover, which showcases the gear movement, the balance wheel and the oscillating weight within the watch. Select models feature subsidiary dials as chronograph counters. The watches in this series are water-resistant up to a depth of 50 metres. The Maestro series lives up to its name, as it indeed is the master of its class offering a stunning choice to both men and women.
