A small clockwork factory was converted into a watch maker in 1957, and a revolution in watch making was born. The Rado Company grew in size and gained recognition overtime. In the first 50 years, the company introduced a multitude of leading edge innovations, which paved the path for the development of the modern wristwatch, making it what it is today. The first watch that used high tech ceramic was the Rado Integral, which was brought to the markets in 1986. Revered by people all over the world, the collection has witnessed unperturbed triumph.
An addition to the Integral collection, the R20786752 is a model that has been designed for women. The watch speaks in a black and silver tone, exuding a bold confidence. The black toned ceramic case measures 24.8mm x 19.2mm, and it encloses the black toned dial. 6 brilliantly cut jubile diamonds are placed on both sides of the watch, paving the way for the silver hands.
A ceramic bracelet, with steel trim, is attached to the case, which can be adjusted, making it convenient for all wrist sizes. The piece is also characterised by a pressure fitted case back, which protects the internal machinery.
Battery operated quartz movement defines the functioning of the piece. A scratch resistant sapphire crystal encloses the piece, thwarting damage. A water resistance capacity of 30m, makes this watch durable in the long run.
The Rado Company is building a strong base in developing Asian countries. Infusing watch making with Asian culture, along with mind blowing innovative designs and technologies, has helped the company appeal to a larger base. The youth icon, Hritik Roshan, is the brand ambassador of Rado in India, and is a fitting choice as he is committed to uncompromising excellence, like the brand itself.
Rado was formed in 1917 as, Schlup and Co., which produced watch movements only. With the launch of its collection of watches in 1957, under the name Rado, it amazed the world with its innovations. Today with 470 skilled workers the brand produces half million watches every year.
First produced in 1986, the Rado Integral was the first Rado watch in high-tech ceramic. A revolution in the watchmaking industry, it fuses the purity of graphic linearity with the finesse of high technology, seamlessly integrating a metallised sapphire crystal, case and bracelet within parallel lines. This new collection remains true to the original but is new for 2014.
Rado has won the Good Design Award for its innovative Hyperchrome Ceramic Touch in 2013 and 2014 by The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design.
