TAG Heuer is an international watch brand that is known the world over for its high precision timepieces. The TAG Heuer Link Diamond Dial Roman Numeral 29mm was launched in 2012 by the beautiful Cameron Diaz, TAG’s brand ambassador.
The watch uses a light stainless steel bracelet that is S-shaped and fitted with a butterfly clasp to fasten. Superluminova white coating is used on the faceted and polished hour and minute hands to enable readability during both day and night on this elegant watch. Steel is a dominant color theme with the Silvered Guilloche round dial with roman numerals, a stainless steel case, a stainless steel polished bracelet (with deployment clasp), a fixed polished stainless steel bezel and a polished crown. The scratch resistant sapphire crystal is enhanced with anti-reflective coating. The sapphire crystal used in the TAG Heuer Link Diamond Dial Roman Numeral 29mm is cut from polished solid sapphire, made from fused and crystallized alumina, making it so hard it can only be scratched by a diamond. A screw-in crown makes the watch waterproof to a depth of 100 meters. The bezel features 12 engraved and lacquered Roman Numerals, and on the guilloche dial you can spot 11 0.08ct diamonds with the date function at 6 o'clock.
The TAG Heuer Link Roman numeral dial features a quartz movement that vibrates at 32,768 beats per second, ensuring precision that sees the tiniest of variation (by a few seconds per month). TAG Heuer’s quartz movement is built to withstand shock and magnetic disturbances. The battery has a 2 year service life. Just like all other TAG Heuer quartz watches, the timepiece uses an end of battery life (EOL) indicator, and a weak battery will result in the seconds hand display making four-second jumps every four seconds - even though the watch will show the correct time.
One of their most iconic watch collections, the TAG Heuer’s Link was revamped in 2011. It was originally introduced in the 1980s and has been a big part of the brand’s ethos since then. The core of the Link collection is connected to its bracelet that offers a unique feel and look.
The bracelet tends to be the standout factor for this collection with Tag Heuer having restructured the aesthetic substantially. The links in the bracelet tend to be flatter and angular with the space between the parts reduced compared to the older models. The bracelet was designed to have no exposed pins on either side illustrating some very ingenious engineering. The bezels stand out being polished, containing Roman or Arabic numerals. Instead of being round, the bezel ring tilts down giving it an interesting cushion shape.
The standard quartz watch is 40mm wide with a three-hand movement and is known as the Link Watch with Quartz Movement. The Calibre 6 model is 40 mm wide and also showcases a subsidiary seconds hand. The 42 mm wide Calibre 5 automatic features day-date functions.
