Omega’s Constellation Collection was launched back in 1982. The watches from this collection earned immense appreciation owing to their attractive colours and designs. This unique collection was entirely redesigned in the year 2009, keeping in mind the taste of the contemporary woman and received an equally positive response. The all new Constellation collection boasts of timepieces that are sporty yet elegant.
This watch is among the most appealing timepieces in the collection. It has a polished brown dial with a stylish supernova pattern fitted in an 18k red gold bezel. The bezel comes with Roman numeral hour markers engraved on it. 12 diamond hour markers shining bright on the watch’s brown textured dial appear stunning and the red gold hour and minute hands enhance its look further. The watch’s bracelet is made of stainless steel with red gold pattern. Its 24 mm case too is made of the same stainless steel material and includes an attractive red gold pattern.
The Omega 188.8.131.52.63.002 has Calibre 1376 movement. It is fitted with the strong sapphire crystal material which is known for its scratch resistant properties. This material is so strong that only a piece of pure diamond can scratch it. Its anti reflective treatment makes sure you get a clear view of the time even in harsh sunlight.
Not just this, the watch is water resistant to a depth of 100 meters. So you may freely indulge in your favourite water sport while wearing this beautiful timepiece.
The Constellation Collection by Omega was launched in 1952, has since been renowned for its ultra precise movements and elegantly refined cases. Century, a limited edition wristwatch unveiled in 1948 on the firm’s 100th anniversary, is the progenitor of the collection. Due to the overwhelming response received by this watch, the brand launched the Constellation collection, which imbibed the same qualities. In 1982, the Constellation “Manhattan” was launched, with which the four claws or “griffes” were introduced that keeps the sapphire crystal case intact to securely render the watch waterproof.
The Omega Constellation collection has been exemplified in several sub collections that include the Gents’ Collection, Ladies’ Collection, Orbis Constellation Star, Sedna, and the Luxury Edition. The watches in the Gents’ collection feature distinctive design factors – the renowned claws on the case, horizontal links for utmost comfort, and a Constellation star, which is situated at the 6o’ clock position. Featuring a vast range of watches with different sizes, metals, dials, and diamond options to choose from, the Ladies’ Collection contains at least one watch to suit every wrist. The Orbis Constellation Star supports Orbis International – which gives advanced eye care to some of the most inaccessible regions in the world, and it’s Flying Eye Hospital. An 18-carat rose gold alloy, consisting of copper, palladium, and at least 75% gold, has been used to craft the Constellation Sedna. This breathtaking alloy adds an innovative and stunning appeal to the watch, giving it a long lasting rose-coloured hue. The magnificent Omega Constellation Luxury Edition watches showcase multitude of diamonds in spectacular supernova pattern, which dazzles the eyes of the onlooker.
A gold Omega Constellation “Manhattan” was worn by the former president of the Soviet Union, Mikhail Gorbachev. One of the 20th century’s most popular musicians, cultural icon, actor, and American singer, Elvis Presley had worn a black-dialled Constellation Calendar.
