What does time mean to you?
Time, I believe, is a vehicle on a journey. Sometimes it’s travelling very slowly but most times it’s so fast that you don’t even realise how fast you were going.
What is the importance of time in your line of work? Talk of particular instances when time was of the essence.
Being a part of a growing company, managing time has been crucial. A particular case that comes to mind was a period when we had over 90 outlets under construction simultaneously, and more being signed up each day. Managing the openings, along with travelling to these locations that spanned the length and breadth of the country, couldn’t have been done without efficient time management.
Does time play a crucial role in a successful partnership like yours and Aman Arora’s? How?
I feel that making a conscious decision to separate time devoted to work and to leisure has played an important role in keeping our partnership successful.
What is the one thing that has stood the test of time for the two of you, individually and as a team?
It’s my friendship with Aman. We’ve been buddies for more than 20 years now.
Do you like wearing watches? Which watches do you own? Or what styles do you like?
Since I got into fitness, I’ve ditched most of my daily-wear watches for the Fitbit. I currently sport the Fitbit Ionic. My watch collection includes Rotary, Fossil, Sekonda, Citizen and a Rado gifted to me by my dad.
What’s the ultimate watch on your wish list?
It would be the Hublot Big Bang MECA-10.
