Cillian Murphy
Irish actor Cillian Murphy has garnered tremendous praise for his titular role in the massively-popular film Oppenheimer. Murphy, who won lead actor, drama, at the Golden Globes 2024 for the Christopher Nolan feature, is a frontrunner for the Oscar in the equivalent category. Murphy, who previously played the villain Scarecrow in Nolan’s Batman Begins (2005), was seen at the show looking fairly dressed-down, open collar in black and white. However, in contrast to the neutral tones was his De Ville Trésor in Sedna gold. Sized at 40mm, this edition is in rich red hues that juxtaposed well against his look, making quite the statement.
Will Ferrell
Actor, producer and comedian Will Ferrell, who starred in Barbie in 2023, was at the Golden Globes 2024, bringing his whimsy. Ferrell’s classic white dinner jacket was not the part of the whimsy, but perhaps pairing his look with the Omega Seamaster Diver 300 007 No Time to Die edition was. Actor Robert Downey Jr won at the Golden Globes 2024 for his supporting performance in Oppenheimer. The Iron Man star, who has worn watches from Jaeger-LeCoultre in the past, was seen wearing a recent version of the iconic Reverso watch as he was accepting his award. Ryan Gosling
Oscar-nominated actor Ryan Gosling has been in the limelight this past year for his ‘#Kenergy’ as Ken in Barbie, for which he even earned a Golden Globe nomination. Brand ambassador for TAG Heuer, Gosling was seen wearing three watches from the Swiss watchmakers in the film. However, the TAG Heuer he wore to the Golden Globes 2024 was a time-and-date Carerra timepiece, which he incidentally wore in his 2022 Netflix film, The Gray Man. With a silvery dial complementing the steel case, and a black leather strap, this is one of the dressier watches from the Carrera collection of motorsport timepieces.

Actor Kieran Culkin has received rave reviews for his portrayal of Roman Roy in the successful and critically-acclaimed HBO series Succession, and he even won a Golden Globe this year as a lead actor. Culkin also showed up at the Golden Globes 2024 wearing a TAG Heuer Carrera. A friend of IWC, actor John Krasinski was seen at the Golden Globes 2024 with his wife Emily Blunt, a Golden Globe nominee for Oppenheimer, who has also been associated with IWC in the past. Star of hit comedy series The Office, Kraskinski was wearing an IWC Portugieser at the awards, with a small seconds display on the sublime salmon-coloured dial that elevates the Portugieser’s dress watch quality.

Popstar and actress Selena Gomez made an appearance at the Golden Globes 2024 as a lead actress nominee for hit comedy series Only Murders in the Building.
