Speake-Marin Dual Time Titanium

History

First launched in 2016, the Speake-Marin One & Two collection applies functionality to design. A perfect display of the brand Haute Horlogerie expertise, the One & Two collection has featured various dial designs coupled with a complex display of movements. Since its launch, the collection has equipped itself with in-house movements and designs that were curated inside its creative studio.

Features

Inside the One & Two collection are three categories, the Dual-Time, the Academic, and the Openworked. This collection features a rather unique placement for its small seconds sub-dial. Fixed between the 1 and 2 o’clock markers, the small seconds sub-dial leaves more space for the dial. Complimenting the sub-dial are the cathedral hands that provide the collection with a rather classical touch which is similar to the very first watch created by the brand, the Original Picadilly. Apart from the hands, the collection also features the revered Picadilly case that was inspired by classical English watches. Featuring a dual time zone, the Dual Time features a second time zone inside a sub-dial fixed at the 9 o’clock marker. On the circumference of the small seconds sub-dial is a retrograde date marker. The Dual Times are available in vibrant colours such as Mint and Lime. Providing a simplistic and classical approach, the Academic model features Roman numerals and an onion crown. Perfectly displaying the art of openwork dials, the Openworked models take their inspiration from modern architecture. The Openworked is also available in a dual time zone called the Openworked Dual Time.

Movements

Featuring the brand’s most versatile movements, the One & Two collection is home to the SMA03 and SMA02 movements. Both movements are specially designed for the coveted Picadilly case and were crafted in-house by the technicians and designers trained under the master watchmaker Peter Speake-Marin.
