With a water resistance of 100 metres, the Type 5 meets the rigorous ISO 6425 standard required for diving watches, proving it can handle various extreme environments with ease.

Design And Features

The Type 5 features a 46mm case made from lightweight yet durable Grade five titanium, striking an ideal balance between robust construction and comfortable wear. The design draws inspiration from nature, reminiscent of the graceful forms of sea turtles, which allows it to fit snugly on the wrist. Its dial features three bi-axial counters that appear to hover like satellites, inclined at different angles to facilitate easy reading while submerged. The entire dial is filled with green Grade-A Super-LumiNova, ensuring that it remains visible even in low-light conditions. To guarantee maximum water resistance, the Ressence Compression Lock System (RCLS) secures the caseback gasket in two positions: 'lock' and 'set.' This meticulous engineering highlights Ressence's commitment to durability and practicality. With 324 components working in harmony, the collection showcases the brand's dedication to advanced innovations, including a magnetic transmission system that allows for winding and time-setting through the caseback rather than a traditional crown.

In addition to the original Type 5, Ressence have expanded the range with limited editions, such as the Type 5 AIT, a collaboration with Art In Time. This limited edition runs on 12 pieces and builds upon the original design, offering unique aesthetic variations while maintaining the same technical prowess. The Type 5 AIT features an exquisite aesthetic with each of the 12 pieces distinguished by a unique hour marker in yellow, rendering each watch both singular and instantly recognisable.
