About the Omega Specialities Collection
The First Omega Wrist-Chronograph
Revealed from the crypts of the Omega museum, the original 18 CHRO calibre was retrieved to create this ambitious timepiece inside the Omega Specialities collection. The CHRO is the exact same movement from 1913 that was fitted inside Omega’s first-ever wrist chronographs. This movement was refurbished through a special and dedicated process by the experts at Omega’s Atelier de Tourbillon. This refurbished yet classical movement was given the name, Calibre 3018. The watch resembles the original wrist chronograph. Even the minutest details such as the ‘Empire’ hands or the riveted leather straps are pasted on this special edition. The classic design also features a hatched caseback, which can be flipped open to reveal the movement positioned behind sapphire-crystal. Only 18 of these Limited Edition chronographs have been made.
The Omega 125th Anniversary Pocket Watch
Launched to mark the 125th anniversary of the brand, this exuberant “half hunter” pocket watch is fitted with an 18Kt Canopus Gold case with an enamel pattern on the side. The front and back of the pocket watch are opened by a single riveted crown. Opening the front cover reveals a white "Grand Feu" enamel dial with three levels for improving the reading of the 18Kt Sedna gold hands. Behind the God Chronos medallion on the interior of the rear cover, is a 125th-anniversary logo in red enamel. Also in clear view is the famous calibre, protected by a domed sapphire glass. Encircling the movement, engraved on the 18Kt Canopus Gold caseback, is one of only nineteen limited edition numbers and the words “Edition Limitée” and “Manufacturé à Bienne, Suisse”. Powering the pocket watch is a meticulous reconstruction of the famous “OMEGA” Calibre, created by the skilled watchmakers at Omega’s Atelier Tourbillon in Switzerland. The movement includes original components stored away for almost a century.
