About the Omega Specialities Collection
Reflecting nearly 170 years of innovation in precision timekeeping and style, Omega have earned a distinguished reputation for producing high-quality timepieces that combine technical excellence with elegant design. Over the years, Omega have become synonymous with iconic moments, from being the official timekeeper of the Olympic Games to becoming the first watch worn on the moon. The Omega Specialities exemplify this rich heritage of the brand while embracing innovation. This collection features notable series including the Museum Collection, the Rio 2016 Limited Edition, and the 125th Anniversary Pocket Watch, each highlighting Omega's dedication to preserving their storied past while advancing their craft.
Collection Overview
The Specialties collection features pieces that celebrate Omega's achievements and milestones. One such example is the Rio 2016 Limited Edition, designed for recreational diving and features a helium escape valve and a unidirectional rotating bezel in the colours of the Olympic rings. Inspired by vintage Omega models, the Museum Collection often features authentic components and limited production runs. The Museum Collection N° 8 Racend Timer, for example, pays tribute to Omega's contributions to sports timing, showcasing a combination of a timer and a slit photo-finish camera.
A highlight of the collection is the reintroduction of the original 18 CHRO calibre, a restored movement from 1913, used in Omega's first wrist chronographs. Limited to just 18 pieces, these watches feature 18k white gold cases, grand feu enamel dials, and vintage-style "Empire" hands, demonstrating Omega's dedication to preserving its horological heritage. The Omega 125th Anniversary Pocket Watch, another jewel in the collection, reflects the brand's ongoing commitment to precision and craftsmanship, with its 18K Canopus Gold case and a carefully reconstructed "OMEGA" calibre movement. Through the Specialities collection, Omega continue to honour their past while inspiring future generations of watch enthusiasts.

ABOUT THE MOVEMENT
Omega introduced the extraordinary calibre 3018 in 2018 with the launch of the First Omega Wrist Chronograph Reissue. It is restored from the 18 antique calibres 18″ CHRO that powered the Omega chronograph wrist watches in early 1913. 3018 is truly a shining piece of the brand’s unparalleled savoir-faire, as they refurbished an almost 110-year-old movement with painstaking cleaning, resizing, refinishing, and re-decorating. Omega developed 18 pieces of this calibre, each unique in composition due to the refurbishment.
Calibre 3018 is a hand-wound movement with a Breguet balance spring and bi-metallic balance wheel. It comprises a bi-register chronograph complication based on a column wheel structure with a horizontal clutch. It features small seconds at nine o’clock and a 15-minute counter at three, controlled by a mono-pusher at six o’clock. As a vintage movement, it ticks at a slightly slow frequency of 2.5Hz and produces a power reserve of 40 hours.
