'A combination of style and substance' might be one of the most hackneyed phrases to describe a timepiece, yet nothing defines the Chronoswiss Delphis collection better. It was introduced in 2023 on the brand's 40th anniversary with Delphis Oracle and was followed up by Delphis Venture and Delphis Paraiba the same year. It was the first time the brand had looked back into their past and brought forth a rich revival. Designed after a 1996 icon, Chronoswiss Delphis presents time interestingly with jumping hours and retrograde minutes against some of the most beautifully designed dials. Together, these exciting time-telling functions and dial designs create an indelible visual spectacle on the wrist.

Design And Features

Chronoswiss brought their craftsmanship know-how on full display with the Delphis collection, where the dials advance an aesthetic that is equal part traditional and contemporary. The watches in this collection all have a similar layout, featuring jumping hours in a window at 12 o'clock, surrounded by an arched scale for the retrograde minutes. These functions are confined to the upper part of the dial, allowing a small second display to sit prominently on the lower half at six o'clock.

The two parts of the curved dial represent creative realms that harmoniously combine contrasting guilloche designs. The upper part, shaped like a crescent, features colourful patterns guilloched traditionally by hand, whereas the lower half has an anthracite-coloured textured base topped by two large bridges. While the lower section of the dial is consistent in all versions, the upper part is decorated with more versatility.

All the Delphis watches come in limited editions of 50 pieces only. They are all held by black rubber straps for modern punctuation and are powered by an automatic movement developed by La Joux-Perret.
