Known for their pioneering efforts with new materials and technology, and developing some of the most avant-garde watches in the haute horlogerie business, Hublot have become undisputed leaders when it comes to reliable sports watches that can be worn both on and off the field. In 2020, they became Premier League’s Official Timekeeper and have continued on the footballing spree ever since. They recently launched a new timepiece to kick-off the Premier League season, which commenced August 12 and will conclude next year on May 19, 2024. For this, the Swiss watchmaker have introduced the new Classic Fusion Chronograph Premier League—in a vibrant purple hue and limited to 100 pieces only.

With this 42mm timepiece crafted in titanium, Hublot’s commitment towards football remains firm—a journey that the brand embarked on in 2006, when they were first associated with the sport. Not only were Hublot the first luxury brand to invest in football by partnering with the Swiss National Team back then, but today, the company has one of the largest portfolios throughout the sport as their partnerships cover international, European, national, women’s and club competitions, as well as legendary players and managers.

This watch is also a game changer since it is the first mechanical chronograph ever created by Hublot for the Premier League. In the past, we have seen these special editions being created using the Big Bang e—the brand’s famed line of connected watches. So, perhaps it was high time for the brand to introduce a mechanical timekeeper for the Premier League, and it couldn’t be a more perfectly timed move!

“We were the first to give the Premier League its own smart watch, and now we’re the first to give it its very first Swiss-made mechanical chronograph. It’s strongly symbolic, combining the talent of a team and the precision of a chronograph: mechanical excellence, total cohesion, and perfect timing,” says CEO Ricardo Guadalupe in an official statement.

In addition to the distinctive purple hue, the Classic Fusion Chronograph Premier League also sports the two iconic chronograph counters. At three o’clock, the counter indicating the seconds is adorned by the crowned lion—the emblem of the Premier League. The crowned lion can also be found on the rear glass, and above the individual number belonging to each of the 100 units that have been produced. At nine o’clock lies the 30-minute counter and there’s also a date window, positioned at six o’clock. The case is topped by a satin-finished and polished titanium bezel, fitted with the signature six H-shaped titanium screws.
