May We Recommend

Established in 1884, Edox is one of the few remaining family-run watch companies in Switzerland that have gained a fine reputation for their dive timers. Over the years, they have earned the moniker of ‘water champion’ due to the legacy built on crafting world-class divers’ watches that are part of their portfolio and have made it a brand to reckon with when it comes to this segment. And while Edox acknowledge their heritage, they choose to embrace innovation by constantly evolving and building products that can stand the test of time. Today, the brand is known for their high-quality timepieces offering generous water-resistance, thanks to the meticulously hand-polished watch cases, which house reliable movements.

The Neptunian watches are true ‘water champions’ as they stand out for their remarkable water-resistance of 1000m, apt for extreme deep-water or bell diving, thanks to their patented double crown seal technology. This outstanding durability and reliability were achieved by several engineering improvements such as 3mm thick sapphire crystal, automatic helium escape valve, double O’ring system and screw-down crown. Exhibiting elegance and the aesthetics of a modern diving instrument, the Neptunian’s decompression system is extremely important as it allows helium to escape from inside the watch when worn by professionals in pressure chambers such as areas involving long-term underwater work or crude oil exploration.

And keeping up with innovation, Edox have introduced the new Neptunian Grande Réserve models, which elevate the collection to the next level. These are slightly more compact than their Neptunian Automatic counterparts and measure 42mm as compared to the original 44mm size. The watches are crafted in stainless steel and despite the smaller case size, offer a strong yet comfortable presence on the wrist. Forged from the same DNA as the original rugged Neptunian, the new Grande Réserve models also feature a scratch-resistant ceramic bezel, which is up to four times harder than stainless steel, and thus extremely durable. This material also prevents the colours from fading thus providing long-lasting lustre. The models are offered in a choice of dial colours, including black, blue, green, and ice blue, thereby providing enough options for wearers.

These watches are also equipped with the double O’ring crown and pusher—engineered to offer increased resistance to water pressure—an integral feature of Edox dive watches since the 1970s. All the watches also feature Super-LumiNova X1, a superior grade of Super-LumiNova, which allows legibility in low-light areas and makes the dive timer highly functional. Here, it is applied on watch parts such as hands, numerals, bezel, and indices—protected by sapphire crystal, ensuring that the watch face retains its pristine appearance for years to come. Thanks to their double crown seal technology, the watches offer a water-resistance of up to 300m and are presented on stainless-steel bracelets, offering maximum comfort on the wrist.
