SpotlightThe Next Chapter: Czapek’s Latest Quai des Bergues Features A New Guilloche Dial

Czapek’s love affair with guilloche is no secret in the world of luxury watchmaking. With their dial-making partner Metalem, a high-end Swiss dial maker, Czapek have created a whole new guilloche pattern for their latest Quai des Bergues models that are offered with a blue or black dial. This intricate creation has been named Double Soleil, which portrays an optical illusion involving halos on either side of the Sun under certain atmospheric conditions. These two references are now even more desirable as Czapek present them in a fresh 40.5mm case size, an addition to the previous 38.5mm and 42.5mm cases found in the Quai des Bergues collection. The new size indeed strikes the perfect balance, allowing the Quai des Bergues to be more adaptable and deliver a great wrist presence. The two new models—Quai des Bergues No17 Double Soleil Tuxedo Black and Deep Blue—find their rightful place among other models in the classic Quai des Bergues series, further augmenting the vintage appeal of the collection whose aesthetic charm is deeply rooted in a mid-19th-century pocket watch.

The Slender Elegance Of The No17 Double Soleil

Expanding their gorgeous Quai des Bergues collection, Czapek have introduced two new Quai des Bergues models—No17 Double Soleil Tuxedo Black and Deep Blue—in a 40.5mm stainless steel case, featuring a newly crafted hand-guilloche design for the watch face. Just like the other timepieces in the Quai des Bergues series, the latest iterations take inspiration from a vintage pocket watch crafted by François Czapek in the mid-1800s.
