Patrick Dempsey At The Venice Film Festival
Actor and racecar driver Patrick Dempsey has been an ideal brand ambassador for TAG Heuer, given his Hollywood stardom, but more so because of his true passion, which is motor racing. The Swiss brand has strong ties with motor racing, with three collections associated with this field, namely the Monaco, the Carrera and the Formula One lines. Moreover, Dempsey attended the Venice Film Festival to support his movie Ferrari—about Enzo Ferrari, the founder of the Italian luxury car—which was screened at the prestigious event. The former Grey’s Anatomy actor was seen sporting watches from TAG Heuer during two separate appearances. At one, complementing his black-tie attire was the latest watch from the Carrera line. This was the Carrera Chronosprint X Porsche, which was also launched just last week, to mark 60 years of the Carrera series and the same milestone for the Porsche 911 car. Incidentally, Dempsey was a spokesperson for the brand when they announced their association with Porsche, the German automobile manufacturers, just a few years ago. The watch he was wearing was in rose gold, with a white dial, featuring red accents.
The other appearance saw Dempsey wearing a vintage Heuer Carrera Reference 1158. This cushion-shaped timepiece has its crown on the left side of the case, while the chronograph pushers remain on the right. The bicompax dial is set in a yellow gold case.
Longines Spirit Zulu Time and Master Chronograph
Regé-Jean Page At The Venice Film Festival
British actor Regé Jean Page has been a Longines brand ambassador since he shot to fame following the success of Bridgerton, the Netflix series that featured him as a lead character in its first season. Page was seen on two separate occasions during the Venice Film Festival wearing Longines watches. From the Spirit collection, one of the watches appeared to have been the Spirit Zulu Time, in steel and gold, equipped with a GMT function.
The other watch worn by the Gray Man actor was a Longines Master Chronometer. It seems that the model Page was wearing was one with an icy blue dial. However, it could also be the darker blue, featured here.
Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra
George Clooney At The Venice Film Festival
One of the longest-running brand ambassadors in the watch industry, Academy Award-winning actor George Clooney was spotted with his wife Amal in Venice, when they were arriving for the Venice Film Festival, among other appearances. On arrival, Clooney was most certainly wearing an Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra. The timepiece from the lifestyle-sport collection of Omega’s appears to have been one with a darker dial—perhaps black—with a striped pattern, inspired by the floors of ship decks.
