Brand Ambassador Charlize Theron

It was in 2018 when actress Charlize Theron’s association with Breitling began. Theron, who won her Oscar for her leading role in Monster (2003), joined the Breitling family alongside fellow Academy Award winner Brad Pitt and Oscar nominee Adam Driver, as a part of the Swiss brand’s ‘cinema squad’. Today, while Pitt and Driver have moved on, Theron continues to represent Breitling, and is the face of their latest edition of Navitimer watches, which were first shown at Geneva Watch Days 2023 in August.

At an event held in the first week of September, in the United States, the Navitimer 36 and 32 were officially unveiled to the world. At this launch of the new watches that use responsibly-sourced gold and conflict-free, lab-grown diamonds, Theron was present, mirroring one of her looks from the Navitimer 36 and 32 campaign visuals. The Mad Max: Fury Road star was naturally sporting one of the new Navitimers—one in steel and gold, with a mother-of-pearl dial and diamond indexes.

Longines Mini DolceVita

Brand Ambassador Jennifer Lawrence

Jennifer Lawrence has been a brand ambassador of Longines since just last year. Lawrence won her Academy Award for her leading role in the 2012 film Silver Linings Playbook. As an ‘Ambassador of elegance’ for Longines, The Hunger Games actress has been seen in campaigns for the brand’s rectangular watches—the DolceVita line. An offshoot of this collection, the Mini DolceVita series made its debut at an event recently held in New York City just earlier this week, and present at the occasion was Lawrence, who is the face of this new DolceVita. She was wearing the steel version of the new square watch, with diamonds flanking the dial, on the bezel that extends into lugs. The elegant new quartz timekeeper has a very neat display, with Roman numerals, a fine chapter ring, blued hands, and a small seconds sub-dial at six o’clock.

A long-time ‘Ambassador of elegance’ for Longines, Kate Winslet was signed on by the brand in 2010. This was about a year and a half after the British actress won her Academy Award for her leading role in The Reader (2008). The brand ambassador has been seen wearing watches from various collections of Longines over the last 13 years, including the DolceVita. Winslet was spotted recently dressed in pristine white. And to pair with her look, she chose the DolceVita X YVY. This edition of the DolceVita was released in 2022, in partnership with Swiss designer Yvonne Reichmuth, whose design firm YVY is dedicated to making leather goods with sustainably sourced leather. The equestrian-inspired double straps are made from this leather that is a by-product of the food industry, and uses vegetable dyes and natural tannin extracts that are not harmful for the industry.
