The brand, Panerai, established in the year 1860, in Florence, Italy, became the first industry to serve the Italian navy with its excellent timepieces. The brand has successfully set a benchmark for its co-competitors after becoming a cult brand of the country. Continuing with its creation of excellent timepieces, and catering to the needs and tastes of people from a wide topography, the brand is now enjoying even a worldwide reputation with this revolutionary Italian Navy Watch collection. The collection has been solely designed keeping in mind the increasing requirements of the Italian commandos who undertake tedious missions and projects.

Highlighting a modern take on the ancient Italian Navy watches, the Panerai PAM00513 Radiomir 1940 Oro Rosso, features 18ct red gold polished case completely crafted out of stainless steel. Complementing the bezel is a brown dial enhancing the looks of the watch with its indices and appliquéd Arabic numeral hour marks finished in red gold. The luminous red gold arms magnify the charm of the dial with its Radiomir fill, increasing the dial readability in the dark surroundings.
A brown Panerai personalized alligator strap is attached to the rose gold lugs adds to the beauty of this timepiece. The user can easily wear and remove this timepiece using the polished red gold buckle.

The Panerai PAM00513 reveals its magical watch movements through its see through Sapphire crystal case back. Water-resistant to a depth of 100 metres, this watch can be easily used while swimming and can withstand unwanted water splurges. This classic timepiece comes with P.999 Calibre, and is embedded with hand-wound mechanical movement. Also, the watch exhibits such modern day features as power reserve of 60 hours, incabloc anti-shock device, Swan’s neck regulator, Glucydur balance, 19 jewels, etc.  This Swiss made accessory makes for an irresistible timepiece in the Panerai watch family with its exquisite red gold bezel and screw down crown.

To meet the increasing demands of the Italian Navy Cammandos, The Panerai workshops in 1940 designed a new case, which was an improved version of the one they presented in 1936. It is today known today as the Radiomir, the term originated at that time because the dials of these cases were made of luminous material patented by Panerai. This material enabled the watch to be read even in pitch darkness.

The 1940 Radiomir Collection aesthetics can be traced back to the times when the watches were designed with characteristics like larger lugs and simple attachment of straps. The simplicity earlier provided for the leather straps to be easily replaced and even today the straps of most of the radio-mir watches are changeable. Although the cases of this collection are a thinner version of the ones originally used in 1940s, the watches remain anchored in the original range because of their classi-cism.

The Radiomir 1940 Collection features five watches, 1940 Acciaio, 1940 Oro Rosso, 1940 3 Days Automatic Oro Rosso, 1940 3 Days Automatic Acciaio and Radiomir 1940 3 days Oro Rosso. The mechanical used for the collection ranges from Panerai P.999, Panerai P.4000 and Panerai P.3000 calibre. A common feature present across all the watches of the 1940 Collection is the see-through sapphire crystal back. The seconds subdial is located at 9 o’ clock. Some of the watches like the Radiomir 1940 Oro Rosso makes use of 18 Ct Polished Red Gold Bezel, which is an alloy com-posed of gold, copper and other metals. The Alloy is widely used in making exquisite timepieces because of its advanced technical properties and elegant appearance. All the Watches are water re-sistant up to ten bars, except Radiomir 1940 3 Days Automatic Oro Rosso and Radiomir 1940 3 Days Oro Rosso. The dials have different diameters of 42 MM, 45 MM and 47 MM giving you a range of options to choose from. All the watches make use of leather Straps, which add a touch of classic masculinity to the watches.

Radiomir was the term Panerai gave the luminous material it had developed. The patented technology enabled the face to be read in extremely poor light conditions and hence the name. Panerai had a long standing relationship with the Italian Royal Navy which relied on them for durable and accurate time pieces, equipment ready to face stern environmental tests. In the 1940s, Panerai furthered the Radiomir legend by upgrading certain aspects such as the addition of lugs shaped from the case itself to secure the strap instead of the previous steel wire welded to the case. The PAM00513 honors the original Radiomir 1940 and its design is based as such. Its in-house P.999/calibre is housed in a 42mm 18 ct. red gold case with a large matching cylindrical winding crown. The brown dial which complements the gold hues is completed by luminous Arabic numerals and hour markers along with a small seconds dial at 9 o'clock.
