History
All the watches of the Constellation collection have distinct design elements called “Griffes”or claws and a star at the 6 o’ clock position.

Design
The Omega Constellation Co-Axial 35 mm 123.20.35.20.02.002 exudes feminine grace the way very few watches can. It showcases a mesmerizing appearance owing to its sensuous combination of stainless steel and 18 k yellow gold. The beautiful round bezel made of 18 k yellow gold is perched on the 35 mm stainless steel case and features the Constellation trademark of “Griffes” or claws. Roman numerals are calibrated on the bezel to represent hour markers and surround the graceful silver dial of the watch, which has yellow gold indexes to mark hours as well as yellow gold hour and minute hands. You can view the date in the date aperture located in the 3 o’ clock position. The watch possesses a polished steel bracelet, which has yellow gold and polished steel bars placed alternately. In addition to that, the pushbutton foldover clasp of the bracelet allows ease of wear and fastens the timekeeper to your wrist securely.
The dial of the watch is shielded from external damage by the sapphire crystal case window, which safeguards the watch from scratches and shatters. Besides, its anti-reflective treatment enhances sunlight legibility. You can take the pleasure of viewing the internal mechanism of the watch through its transparent caseback.

Features
The watch gives the most precise time owing to its in-house Omega Co-Axial calibre 2500 movement, the self-winding chronometer Co-Axial Escapement movement with rhodium-plated finish. It has a power reserve of 48 hours, and the build quality of the watch is such that, it is resistant up to 100 metres of water level, allowing you to wear it while bathing, swimming or diving.

History
The Constellation Collection by Omega was launched in 1952, has since been renowned for its ultra precise movements and elegantly refined cases. Century, a limited edition wristwatch unveiled in 1948 on the firm’s 100th anniversary, is the progenitor of the collection. Due to the overwhelming response received by this watch, the brand launched the Constellation collection, which imbibed the same qualities. In 1982, the Constellation “Manhattan” was launched, with which the four claws or “griffes” were introduced that keeps the sapphire crystal case intact to securely render the watch waterproof.

Series
The Omega Constellation collection has been exemplified in several sub collections that include the Gents’ Collection, Ladies’ Collection, Orbis Constellation Star, Sedna, and the Luxury Edition. The watches in the Gents’ collection feature distinctive design factors – the renowned claws on the case, horizontal links for utmost comfort, and a Constellation star, which is situated at the 6o’ clock position. Featuring a vast range of watches with different sizes, metals, dials, and diamond options to choose from, the Ladies’ Collection contains at least one watch to suit every wrist. The Orbis Constellation Star supports Orbis International – which gives advanced eye care to some of the most inaccessible regions in the world, and it’s Flying Eye Hospital. An 18-carat rose gold alloy, consisting of copper, palladium, and at least 75% gold, has been used to craft the Constellation Sedna. This breathtaking alloy adds an innovative and stunning appeal to the watch, giving it a long lasting rose-coloured hue. The magnificent Omega Constellation Luxury Edition watches showcase multitude of diamonds in spectacular supernova pattern, which dazzles the eyes of the onlooker.

Associations
A gold Omega Constellation “Manhattan” was worn by the former president of the Soviet Union, Mikhail Gorbachev. One of the 20th century’s most popular musicians, cultural icon, actor, and American singer, Elvis Presley had worn a black-dialled Constellation Calendar.
