About the TAG Heuer Link Collection
The TAG Heuer Link collection was originally introduced as the S/el (Sports/elegance) in 1987. This collection served as a key in bridging TAG Heuer’s dive watches and chronographs from the late 20th century with the Carrera-centred collections of the 21st century. In 1999, it was rebranded as the Link, highlighting its unique “double S” shaped bracelet links. The Link became a signature of the brand, seamlessly blending sports functionality with elegance. Over its first two decades, the collection achieved remarkable commercial success, selling over two million units and solidifying its significance within TAG Heuer's lineup.
Design And Features
The design evolution of the TAG Heuer Link reflects the brand's dedication to combining style with functionality. The first generation, launched in 1999, introduced a rounded bracelet and significant dial updates, such as the switch from Mercedes to sword hands and the use of oversized Arabic numerals. In 2004, the second generation featured a two-part dial with starburst and azurage patterns, along with a refined bezel. By 2006, the collection’s third generation showcased a slimmer bezel, a textured dial with vertical lines, and a more contoured crown guard. The fourth generation, released in 2011, presented a cushion-shaped bezel and flatter bracelet links. Building on this, the fifth generation, beginning in 2017, enhanced the design with an enlarged cushion-style bezel and new dial colours.
Central to the collection is the calibre S chronograph, an electro-mechanical hybrid movement that integrates traditional hands with advanced technology for precise timekeeping and chronograph functions. Noteworthy models include the Link calibre 36, powered by the esteemed El Primero movement, and special editions such as the Link Dicaprio Edition, Ayrton Senna tributes, and Tiger Woods editions. Unique designs within the collection, like the Link Searacer with its countdown timer and the Link Oracle Racing limited edition, further showcase its versatility.

I m not a super duper rich woman, but that does not mean I do not have a good taste. I may not have aside collection but few pieces I have speak for themselves. Believe it or not Tag Heur was always my favourite. Class apart it enhances your personality. An accessory people r sure to notice when unadorned it. Steel straps r my personal preference. Impressive
