TAG Heuer Heuer Heritage

History

Successfully reissued by TAG Heuer at the beginning of 2017 with updated functions and a proprietary movement, the TAG Heuer Autavia collection was created in 1962 and soon became one of the most appreciated driver's chronographs of its era. The origin of the name goes back to 1933 when Heuer designed its first dash counter for racing cars, boats and aircraft. The name was a contraction of Automobile and Aviation.

Features

Bringing back the simplicity and authenticity of the 30s, the TAG Heuer Autavia is a brilliant collection with simple functions on the dial. Be it the GMT or the chronographs, these complications are simply derived from years of passion for watchmaking. Unlike usual chronographs, the chronographs in Autavia are flyback chronographs offering a simpler insight into timekeeping. The collection also features a 3 hands variant with a date window at the 6 o'clock position. Adding a nomadic essence to the Autavia are the GMTs that are fitted with COSC-certified movements and display the second time zone with a long central hand.

Special Edition

The special edition Autavia features an engraved propeller on the back with a brilliant red dial and a COSC-certified movement. What makes it unique is the addition of a bronze case, a very rare occurrence in the history of the brand. The bronze case is further complimented by a ceramic bezel.
