Every Aquaracer watch proudly holds the sine qua nons of an ideal diver's watch, which comprises a screw-in crown, unidirectional bezel, sapphire crystal, and luminous markings. The unique 12-sided bezel with rider tabs is one of the most recognisable features of a TAG Heuer Aquaracer. While primarily the bezel carries a 60-minute scale, in some Aquaracer watches, the bezel comes decked in diamonds and is available in materials including gold, ceramic, and more. Additionally, the Aquaracer collection offers a variety of dial colours and material combinations, allowing wearers to choose a style that suits their preferences. In terms of function, the collection is home to simple time and date models as well as watches with chronograph, GMT, and alarm complications.
ABOUT THE MOVEMENT
TAG Heuer watches are highly respected in the industry for their exceptional durability, which is evident in both their construction and mechanism. The Calibre 16 is a self-winding mechanical movement that powers TAG Heuer watches such as the Formula 1, Carrera, and Aquaracer. It is a robust tri-compax chronograph calibre with a vertical configuration based on the renowned ETA 7750 or its Sellita equivalent, SW500. The Calibre 16 harnesses the strength of a cam-actuated mechanism to enhance its chronograph functions, allowing it to measure elapsed time up to 30 minutes and 12 hours, as well as indicating running seconds. Operating at a rate of 28,800bph, this automatic movement provides a power reserve of 42 hours. Additionally, it features 25 jewels and supports a date complication.

I have the classic black model of the above TAG Aquaracer with calibre 16 which is basically the ETA or Valjaux 7750 based which has been a very reliable Swiss Movement for several years and are found in all high end Swiss Chrono Automatic watches.
The lume is quite good and can be seen in dark. The watch is extremely good looking and a beauty. The difference between the High End Swiss watches and their counterparts in Asia are clear from the polish , the brightness of the Saphire crystal and the finish from every corner of the watch. The accuracy is better than 4 seconds per day which is very good for a mechanical watch. Five Stars! -

Aquaracer Calibre 16 Chronograph 300m, a mid-range Aquaracer which takes name from its workhorse mechanical movement.The metallic blue dial is a cool customer in all environments, but truly shines under the brightest lights. Like an adventure-loving movie star. I give TAG Heuer’s marketing department credit for that nugget of creativity.Aquaracer in the watch box when dressing up for a night on the town, unless the intention is to hit a trendy nightclub with sleeves trendily rolled-up. Chances are that particular look will be out-of-style long before the Aquaracer Chronograph has seen its best days pass.On the whole, the TAG Heuer Aquaracer Calibre 16 Chronograph is a nicely-executed chronograph. Notwithstanding the charismatic dial, this version of the Aquaracer Chronograph is solid but unexceptional in most respects. The dull and unimaginative bracelet is the most glaring example of cost-cutting, but this maligned element was flawless in actual function.- MIHIR PORWAL PUNE.
