RESERVOIR GT Tour Blue Edition

The Reservoir GT Tour collection is rooted in the golden age of classic car racing, particularly the racing dashboards of the 1960s through the 1990s. The collection first emerged as one of Reservoir’s automotive-inspired watch families, translating the visual codes of speedometers and RPM counters into a mechanical time display. Its defining characteristic is the single-hand format, which presents the minutes through a retrograde indication while a jumping-hour aperture shows the current hour. The concept gives the GT Tour its distinctive identity in contemporary Swiss watchmaking, with every element of the dial designed for the immediate readability of a racing instrument.

Design Language And Mechanism

The GT Tour’s 43mm stainless steel case houses a matt black dial marked by racing-inspired numerals and a brightly coloured minute hand. On the signature model, the orange hand creates the same high-contrast relationship found on classic racing meters, while the minute track follows a broad two hundred and forty-degree arc. Once the hand reaches 60 minutes, it rapidly returns to its starting position as the jumping-hour disc advances. Beneath the display sits a power-reserve indicator styled after a fuel gauge. The latest GT Tour models are powered by the RSV-240 self-winding mechanical calibre, combining the retrograde minute, jumping hour and power-reserve functions through a patented 113 piece module based on the LJP-G100 movement that delivers a 56-hour power reserve.

Popular GT Tour Editions

The GT Tour collection has expanded through several editions, each taking a distinct approach to its racing-inspired design. The GT Tour Racing, introduced in 2023, combines a woven carbon-fibre dial with red accents, drawing from materials and colour codes associated with high-performance racing. The GT Tour Spring Lap follows the same dashboard-inspired format, pairing its black dial with a vivid green retrograde minute hand and a perforated leather strap. The GT Tour Carbon extends the use of motorsport materials to the case, featuring a 43mm forged carbon construction and a limited production of 200 pieces. Completing the line-up, the GT Tour Black Skeleton x IDEC Sport was created in collaboration with the IDEC Sport racing team and limited to 24 pieces, with its openworked dial exposing the mechanical architecture beneath the display.
