Oris ProPilot X Kermit Edition

History

Launched in 2019 alongside the ProPilot, the Oris ProPilot X collection is a suave and capable addition to the brand’s arsenal. With an emphasis on more complicated movements and aesthetics, the collection boasts the brand’s mechanical and manufacturing acumen.

Features

The Oris Big Crown ProPilot X Calibre 115 is equipped with a 44mm casing made of grade-2 and grade-5 titanium and was built from the ground up. The hand-wound movement fitted inside the Oris Big Crown ProPilot X Calibre 115 collection features a power-reserve indicator at the 3 o’clock marker and a small seconds window between the 7 and 8 o’clock marker. The knurled bezel is inspired by the blades of a jet engine and adds to the watch’s aviation-inspired credentials. Whereas, the Oris ProPilot X Calibre 400 offers a 39mm dial with a date window fixed at 6 o’clock and is available in different dial colours such as Pink, Blue, and Grey.

Movements

The Oris ProPilot X is equipped with two in-house movements. The automatic Oris 400 is an in-house movement that provides a power reserve of 120 hours. Worth mentioning is the Oris 115 movement. A hand-wound movement, the calibre 115 offers a power reserve of approximately 10 days. For better comparison, 10 days translates to 240 hours making the 115 calibres one of the most robust mechanical movements in the watchmaking industry.
