Oris Coulson Limited Edition

History

The Oris ProPilot collection shares its historical roots with the Big Crown collection. First launched in 1938, the Big Crown was among the first watches that were made for pilots. In 2019 due to the popularity of ProPilot, the Big Crown ProPilot was made available in a separate collection.

Features

The Oris ProPilot collection is home to various features such as date, day/date, and GMT. The ProPilot features a knurled bezel and the Arabic numerals are styled in a 1930s manner. The Big Crown ProPilot Big Date series features a date window at the 3 o’clock marker, similarly, the ProPilot Big Day Date features a day/date window at the same marker. The collection is also equipped with a dual timer called the Big Crown ProPilot Timer GMT. The Big Crown ProPilot Timer GMT features a second-time zone engraved on the bezel pointed by a long arrow hand. It also features a small seconds sub-dial at the 9 o’clock marker.

The ProPilot Rega Fleet Limited Edition

Oris is known for collaborating with unique names. One such name is the Rega, a charity-based search and rescue organisation based in Switzerland. Rega operates a fleet of 21 aircraft, 18 helicopters and 3 fixed-wing aircraft. Oris decided to honour these aircraft by releasing 21 pieces with unique tail numbers of the aircraft of the Rega fleet on the case back of each watch. Apart from the tail number, the Oris Big Crown ProPilot Rega Fleet limited edition features a pulsometer on the bezel and a GMT.
