About the Oris Maldives Collection
Essence
Oris has a magnificent selection of limited edition watches. The Oris Maldives came as a worthy replacement after the success of the Great Barrier Reef Limited Edition. This watch was created with the purpose of helping to save the Maldive atolls in the Indian Ocean. The Oris Maldives Series is limited to 2000 pieces.
Design
The watch comes in two models. One has a black rubber strap, with titanium security folding clasp, while the other has a metallic band. It is ensconced in a multi-piece titanium case that is brushed and polished. It measures about 43 mm, with sapphire glass, domed on both sides. The beautiful blue dial has luminous material markers, with Superluminova dark orange, Indices and hands. A detailed rendition of the atolls is etched on the caseback serving as a reinforcement of the worthy cause.
Features
The Oris Aquis Maldives is loaded with premium features and quality construction. The diver's watch has a ceramic top ring and a special crown protection, with an automatic helium valve for releasing excess air-pressure. With a water-resistance of 300 mteres, this is a quintessential diver watch. A powerful automatic movement powers this collection rendering it precise and reliable. A date window at 3'o clock allows you a holistic glimpse of time.
Associations
With its long-standing association with diving, Maldives is not just a watch, but also a statement about the company's commitment to marine conservation. With this watch, Oris endeavored to raise funds for Bluepeace, an environmental organisation engaged in marine conservation, by donating a certain percentage of each sale to the NGO.
