History

Launched in 1961, the Nivada Grenchen Chronomaster collection was the first waterproof chronograph by the brand. This timepiece was one of the milestones for the brand, apart from the Depthmaster and the iconic Antarctic. Today, this collection features modern timepieces with vintage aesthetics.

Features

Inside the Chronomaster collection are two different iterations of the chronograph complication. One is a bi-compax variant divided into various subcategories such as Orange Boy, Lollipop, Panda, and Broad Arrow. The Paul Newman-style timepieces fall under the Vajoux 23 category as they employ the robust Valjoux 23 movement. The other iteration is the Chronoking, a chronograph with three sub-dials fixed at the 3, 6, and 9 o’clock marker.

Limited Editions

Being one of the most renowned collections from the brand, the Chronomaster features some limited edition timepieces. One such timepiece is the Chronoking Mecaquartz. Fitted with the Seiko VK63 meca-quartz movement, the Chronoking Mecaquartz is limited to just 100 pieces. Another limited edition timepiece is the Shift Chronomaster 'Big Eye' Yachting. The Big Eye is a Regatta Timer which is essentially a modified chronograph meant for counting down the start of a yacht race. Limited to 100 units, this regatta timer is one of the unique timepieces offered by the brand.
