About the Luminox Bear Grylls Survival Collection
Luminox X Bear Grylls
The collaboration between one of the toughest watchmakers and one of the toughest humans in the world seems natural. This is where a highly collaborative partnership between Bear Grylls and Luminox comes in. Crafting timepieces that are in all their essence utilitarian, Luminox provided the watch enthusiasts with the DNA of Bear Grylls, a British adventurer, writer, and television presenter known for his survival television series Man vs Wild and created the Luminox Bear Grylls Survival collection.
The 3 Rules of Survival
A sense of adventure comes with a sense of responsibility. To reiterate that into a timepiece, Luminox created the Bear Grylls Survivor ECO Rule of 3 timepieces. With Grylls’s motto “Never Give Up” fixed on the dial, the timepiece is a true statement of a tough contender. On the strap, the ‘Survival Rule of 3’ is stamped. The stamp says that a human can live without air for 3 minutes, without shelter for 3 hours, without water for 3 days, and without food for 3 weeks.
The Outdoor Explorer
In a bid to classify its timepieces under the aegis of Bear Grylls, Luminox added them with various features needed for survival. A simpler version features luminescent hands and a rotating bezel. For adventurous souls, the chronograph variant features a rather busy dial with a Carbonox+ case. This robust timepiece is also home to a busy strap. Featuring a morse code and a slide ruler on the strap, the watch is a guiding tool for hikers. Adding more to its outdoorsy nature, the strap is also fitted with a detachable compass.
The Worldtimer
Adding a bit of traveller inside the adventure, the Bear Grylls Survival collection added the Bear Grylls Survival Pilot Watch. Displaying 24 cities on the bezel, the timepiece is equipped with a Carbonox+ case for a sturdy experience. This 24-hour display of time is marked by a central hand pointing towards the inner bezel displaying the time for the selected city.
