About the Louis Moinet Cosmic Art Collection
Louis Moinet, both the brand and the watchmaker, have always been closely associated with outer space. Whether it's creating the world's first chronograph designed to track the movement of celestial bodies from land, or incorporating fragments of spacecraft that have carried humans into space into watches, the Louis Moinet Cosmic Art collection deeply honours these achievements. The Cosmic Art collection represents a piece of history and legacy on your wrist, showcasing the artistic expertise of the legendary Swiss waktchmaker, Louis Moinet.
The Mars And The Moon
Louis Moinet encapsulates cosmic materials in its dials, incorporating meteorites from the Moon and Mars into the Cosmic Art collection. The Louis Moinet Moon was launched in 2019 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Jules Verne's "Around the Moon," a novel that ignited the CEO's fascination with lunar exploration. Similarly, the Mars watch reflects this passion for space, featuring a fragment of lunar meteorite housed in a capsule at the three o’clock marker. The key distinction lies in the Mars watch's depiction of legendary volcanoes, including Olympus Mons at the centre and Ascraeus Mons positioned at 1:30.
Other Celestial Series
Louis Moinet have been home to more wonders apart from the Moon and Mars. The Skylink for example, encapsulates a momentous handshake between American and Soviet astronauts during the Cold War. It features a piece of Kapton foil from the Apollo mission and a fragment of Alexey Leonov's Sokol-K spacesuit at the three o'clock marker. Equally captivating, the Allende Meteorite integrates a fragment from the meteorite that fell in 1969, complemented by a Mayan-engraved dial that bridges history and artistry. The collection further showcases the Space Revolution, which features two tourbillons that rotate in opposite directions, while models such as Ad Astra, Spacewalker, and Hope Probe highlight the brand’s signature ‘satellite tourbillon,’ the latter dedicated to the UAE’s first Mars mission. The Midnight Star iteration underscores the brand's craftsmanship, featuring chronograph sub-dials adorned with a blue-tinted Armanty meteorite fragment.

ABOUT THE MOVEMENT
The calibre LM30 used in Cosmic Art Space One watches is an in-house movement developed by Louis Moinet. It is a modified version of the automatic cam-lever Valjoux chronograph architecture and includes several functions such as hours, minutes, date, monopusher chronograph, and a start-stop-reset indicator. The LM30 operates at a frequency of 4Hz, features 27 jewels, and has a classic 48-hour power reserve. The movement's design and decoration are unique, with newly designed bridges and an openworked rotor assembled on high-tech ceramic ball bearings, all contributing to an overall refined finish.
