About the Longines Longines Spirit Collection
History
First launched in 2020, the Longines Spirit collection can be considered a classic heritage line of watches. Inspired by the early pilot watches developed by Longines, the Spirit clashes with the idea of manual piloting of the aircraft. The Spirit now offers an insight into the world of Longines and its heritage with clean, classic designs.
Features
The Longines Spirit collection is a line of timepieces that combines contemporary design with the brand's rich heritage and aviation-inspired aesthetics. This collection captures the spirit of adventure and pays tribute to the pioneers of aviation. The Longines Spirit watches feature robust cases, offering a perfect balance between elegance and sportiness. They are equipped with scratch-resistant sapphire crystals for durability and enhanced legibility. One of the notable features of the Spirit collection is its distinctive dial design. They feature oversized Arabic numerals, Super-LumiNova-coated hands and indexes, and a date window for practicality. The Spirit collection also features a chronograph iteration which features a horizontal layout of the sub-dials.
Movement
Fitted with Chronometers, all the movements inside the Spirit collection are COSC certified. The in-house movements such as L888 and L688 are prominent throughout the collection. What makes these movements unique is the usage of a monocrystalline silicon balance spring that helps the movement achieve better accuracy.
