History
Longines, a Saint-Imeir based watchmaking brand, found its genesis in the year 1832. Founded by Auguste Agassiz, its journey towards success began as the producer of small pocket watches. With a stable growth, it established the Longines factory in 1867, in Saint-Imeir. Over a period of time it developed a mechanized production and began inducing high-precision caliber and accuracy within its pieces.
By mid-20th century, Longines introduced its very first Quartz clock, demonstrating innovation beyond par. In the highly progressive 21st century, the brand has established itself as a manufacturer of timepieces that exude a great blend of style, quality, accuracy and elegance.
