About the Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Collection
Inspired by Jaeger-LeCoultre's iconic Memovox Polaris watch, the Polaris collection embodies the spirit of adventure and urban exploration with its exceptional dive watches. These timepieces blend sporting functionality with the signature elegance of Jaeger-LeCoultre. Featuring models with date displays, alarms, chronographs, and world-time functions, the Polaris collection caters to the needs of today's discerning man and his worldly pursuits.
Memovox Polaris
In 1968, Jaeger-LeCoultre unveiled the Memovox Polaris, a pioneering timepiece designed to assist divers by sounding an alarm when it was time to resurface. This iconic watch, featuring the innovative Memovox function, became the fount of inspiration for the contemporary Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris collection, retaining the futuristic essence of its predecessor.
Dive Deeper Into The Polaris Collection
Polaris has a history of embracing new complications alongside its original design. The Polaris Automatic series, known for its simplicity, presents a diving watch without complications but with essential features intact. The Polaris Date features a rotating inner bezel, controlled by the crown at two o'clock, allowing users to track timing offsets or countdowns. Meanwhile, the Polaris Perpetual Calendar boasts various calendar complications, like month, day, moon phase, and date, indicated through legibly-positioned sub-counters on the dial. With a Southern Hemisphere retrograde moon phase indicator, it also includes a split window displaying the year inside the month sub-dial.
Expanding beyond its diver's watch heritage, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris collection now encompasses chronographs and world timers. Among these is the Polaris Mariner, equipped with the alarm function, echoing the original Memovox Polaris of 1968.
