About the Jacob & Co. Palatial Collection
Essence
In a bid to create more space, the Jacob & Co. Palatial collection creates an uncluttered persona on the dial. With basic timekeeping duties, the collection is inspired by the Art Deco movement from the 1920s. A perfect balance between individualism and classicism, the collection offers a deep dive into mechanical horology.
Features
The Jacob & Co. Palatial collection is fitted with very few complications. Inside the Palatial Classic Automatic, there is a brand logo inside the sub-dial at 9 o’clock. Further walking towards the complications is the Palatial Classic Manual Big Date. The Classic Manual Big Date is equipped with a power reserve indicator at 6 o’clock and a big date window at 12 o’clock. The dial dances with variety inside the Palatial collection, be it a guilloche pattern or a colourful array of mineral crystals, the timepieces offer a perfect balance of interactive and playful timekeeping. Diving into a more opulent persona, the Jacob & Co. Palatial Opera Flying Tourbillon features a flying tourbillon at 6 o’clock. Fitted with baguette-cut diamonds and precious stones, the dial looks similar to an Opera house.
The Palatial Five Time Zone
Cementing its roots of being a fine watchmaker, Jacob & Co. is equipped with a timepiece that displays five time zones. Apart from the home time, the timepiece displays timezones of four cities, Tokyo, New York, Los Angeles, and Paris. One can adjust the time for these four cities by the crowns on the lugs fixed just above and below the sub-dials. The dial is further accented with dauphine hands, whereas, for the home time the dauphine hands are skeletonised. The collection also features timepieces with a pirate’s symbol on the dial. A few timepieces are also equipped with nickel dials finished in a guilloche pattern.
