Back in the 1930s, the world was going through a paradigm shift. With crude box-like structures taking a backseat and aerodynamics making the front, the locomotive industry also shifted its attention to these changes. Taking its inspiration from the aerodynamic locomotives of that era, the H. Moser & Cie. Streamliner collection is a true embodiment of a sleek, chic set of timepieces. In 2019, the H. Moser & Cie. received the GPHG Chronograph of the year making Streamliner Chronograph the brand’s only sports watch with that distinction.

The Flyback Chronograph

Playing it close to the chest, H. Moser & Cie. decided to employ a well-charted course of chronographs. With the Streamliner Flyback Chronograph, the minimalistic nature of the brand is retained with no sub-dials, unlike many flyback chronographs. The metres for the chronograph are rather fixed on the outer circumference of the dial. These metres are marked by two chronograph hands displaying minutes and seconds. These two hands are specifically for measuring the elapsed time and not for timekeeping. These two hands are controlled by two pushers placed at the 10 and 2 o’clock markers. Inside the Flyback Chronograph series is the automatic HMC 902 movement.

The Streamliner Perpetual Calendar

The Streamliner collection is also home to a perpetual calendar that displays the months in a unique manner. In the Streamliner Perpetual Calendar series, the months are displayed with the 12-hour indexes. Whereas, the date window is fixed at 4 o’clock where the crown is also placed. At the 10 o’clock marker is the power reserve indicator and at the case back is the star-shaped leap year calendar.
