The Cat’s Eye - An Oval Beauty

The Girard-Perregaux Cat’s Eye collection was first launched in 2004 and has become one of the most iconic women’s watches in the world. As the name suggests, the Cat’s Eye collection takes its inspiration from the eyes of the cats, oval and deep. The distinctive case is easily recognisable and the use of precious materials and in-house movements make it a must-have in a lady’s horology collection. What makes this collection more unique is that each and every watch under this collection is hand-painted by trained artisans. The Cat’s Eye collection is fitted with features such as moon phase, small seconds, date, and day & night features.

The Plum Blossom

The Cat’s Eye Plum Blossom series is the epitome of elegant watchmaking by Girard-Perregaux. A bright sense of opulence coupled with the manufacturing acumen of the Maison makes this series a true piece of Haute Horlogerie. The hand-crafted plum blossom on the 9 o’clock marker grabs the spotlight. Whereas the dial is crafted with materials such as mother-of-pearl and blue aventurine. These dials combined with the accuracy of the in-house automatic movement of GP03300 provide it with both aesthetical beauty and mechanical acuity.

The High-Jewellery

It would be an injustice if the brand would have omitted brilliantly studded diamond timepieces from the Cat’s Eye collection. This was made possible by placing timepieces such as Cat’s Eye Plum Blossom Jewellery, Cat’s Eye Arabian Jasmin, and Cat’s Eye La Fenice. The Cat’s Eye Plum Blossom Jewellery is fitted with 444 brilliant-cut diamonds of 5.26cts. These diamonds are fixed on the dial and the bezel. Whereas the Cat’s Eye Arabian Jasmin is fitted with 427 brilliant-cut diamonds of 1.75cts. One such unique timepiece that is just limited to 1 unit is the Cat’s Eye La Fenice which is equipped with a mother-of-pearl dial and 275 diamonds of 19.76cts.
