Frederique constant is a fairly new brand in the premium category. Founded in 1988 by Dutch entrepreneur Peter stats and aletta bax .the brand name is derived from the name of their forefathers fredrique and constant. The brand produces it's own in house movements and have facilities from movement manufacture to finishing.recently in 2002 , the brand acquired alpina, the major sports watch brand and ventured in to a field mastered by few swiss brands.the brand still continues to be private with an annual production of 120000.
the model featured here is the classic junior chronograph with a quartz 4 jewel calibre .38mm case is too small for a mens chronograph these days and thus this watch is considered for boys .the well graduated black dial with white inner bezels are popular and is used by many brands from timex to rolex cosmograph the arrow hands in sell are lumed and ensured a charming look.the unique date wing is readable .the black leather strap with the white side stitches mains the theme of the dial.At 53k , a swiss chronograph is quite reasonable.
Overall verdict: Frederique Constant I'd a reasonable and good brand .the chronograph is reasonably priced with necessary features. If you are looking for brand value ,fc is bit less compared to Rolex ,Rado , Omega but provides quality watched at par with its competitors.
