WATER AND EARTH, DEPTH AND HEIGHT-A TIMEPIECE AT HOME WHEREVER YOU GO
Raider Sea Sky was first introduced in the rapidly changing world of the 1970s. Inspired by aviators, this adventurous timepiece is a perfect companion on both the tarmac and the sky. It is strongly imbibed with the rugged DNA of the house. Be it the cushion-shaped case or the unidirectional rotating bezel, Raider Sea Sky is a Favre Leuba to the core and offers intricate time measurements.
A Dive-Style Chronograph
A daring timepiece that fascinates with its distinct aesthetics and modern allure, Raider Sea Sky brings a remarkable conflation of a high-precision chronograph mechanism and a whopping 200 metres of water resistance.
A Bold Case
Wearing distinctly at 44mm by 15.77mm in stainless steel, the watch epitomises confidence with its unique cushion-shaped case. The finishing – a juxtaposition of brushed surfaces and polished bevels – is fetching, displaying Maison's scrupulous attention to detail. Also, the signature bridge form comes alive with sloping lugs that allow the watch to settle most effortlessly on the wrist.
Playful Colour Combinations
The watch's strong personality finds a playful balance through vibrant colour-blocking. Bright shades of orange, yellow, and blue are set off by contrasting sub-registers on the dial, while the bezel complements it with a similar colour scheme.
Unidirectional Rotating Bezel
Honouring dive watch specs, the bezel on a Raider Sea Sky is rotatable in one direction and is made of anodised aluminium. However, it serves more than just functional value with engaging aesthetical propositions. Maison's fine craftsmanship comes to display with the unique construction of the bezel, where a tetradecagonal ring sits atop a smooth round one to form the inner bezel. On the other hand, the outer bezel is designed in stark hues for enhanced legibility underwater, detailed with a clean 60-minute scale. The knurling on the rotating bezel aids in easy manoeuvring.
Chronograph Dial
The vividly-hued dial runs point on the watch, with its rich colour combinations creating a distinct profile while retaining practical functions through luminous appliqued index markers and the handset and neatly-placed date aperture between four and five o'clock. The house's instantly recognisable 'Hourglass' logo finds a pride of place on the front face. The dial carries the chronograph sub-counters in a horizontal configuration. Their contrasting hues stand out against the background, elevating the watch's overall legibility.
The Movement
ETA Valjoux 7753 calibre inside the Raider Sea Sky is a reliable automatic movement with approximately 48 hours of power reserve. It has a beat rate of 28,800vph and also facilitates hacking seconds and quick-set date functions.
