About the Doxa SUB 600T Collection
The 1980s saw the introduction of the SUB 600T, a model that stood out with its angular design and sharp lines, marking a bold departure from the more fluid cushion shape of the iconic SUB 300. Its limited-edition titanium revival of the ‘80s-era SUB 600T was sold out in only three days following its debut in August 2021. Thereafter, it was only a matter of time before this angular, function-forward design made its way back into the brand's regular production. The latest releases of SUB 600T see DOXA going all-in on this more aggressive vintage look.
Rugged Refinement In Design
The Doxa SUB 600T exemplifies a rugged yet refined design philosophy, characterised by its angular stainless steel case measuring 40mm in diameter and 14.15mm in height. This blocky silhouette includes large polished chamfers along the sides, accentuating its robust construction. Notably, the unidirectional bezel is available in a sandblasted stainless steel insert or a glossy ceramic insert, featuring the signature US Navy no-decompression dive table for enhanced functionality.
Performance-Driven Features
The DOXA SUB 600T is designed for serious underwater performance, offering an impressive water resistance of up to 600 meters. The watch is powered by the reliable Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement, which operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour and provides a 38-hour power reserve, ensuring precise timekeeping even in the most challenging environments. The dial comes in six bright colours, including the iconic orange Professional model, featuring bold "shark tooth" indices at 12, six, and nine o'clock. This adds a cohesive and eye-catching look to the watch. Additionally, the SUB 600T includes a solid caseback engraved with the brand's fish emblem, further emphasising its strong build.
ABOUT THE MOVEMENT
Sellita, once a reassembly company, is now the second-largest movement maker in Europe. They are known for producing the renowned calibre SW200-1, an automatic movement that serves as a popular alternative to the calibre ETA 2824-2. It is widely used by many watchmakers as the main and base calibre. The SW 200-1 powers essential watch functions such as the three central hands display and date, boasting a 38-hour power reserve and operating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. However, these specifications can be adjusted by brands to meet their specific requirements.
