About the Doxa SUB 200 T.GRAPH Collection
History
For starters, the Doxa SUB 200 T.Graph is just limited to 300 pieces. During the 1960s, the world was growing conscious of the advent of diving watches. In 1969, Doxa released a set of timepieces called the T.Graph which was just limited to 300 pieces of each and every variant of the model. After surviving the quartz crisis, Doxa launched the T.Graph in Baselworld 2018.
Features
Unlike the SUB 200 and SUB C-Graph, the SUB 200 T.Graph is just available in the Professional series with an orange dial and Doxa’s signature ‘Separate Beads of Rice’ bracelet or a rubber strap. The Doxa SUB 200 T.Graph is equipped with two chronograph counters, at the 3 o’clock marker is the 30 minute counter and at 9 o’clock in the small seconds counter. Unlike the SUB 200 C-Graph, the 6 o’clock marker is fitted with a date window. Inside this legendary collection of timepieces is a movement that is as legendary as the timepiece itself. The Valjoux 7734, a movement that gained popularity for being the go-to movement for some of the top brands of the 1970s. Doxa kept these movements for future purposes, making the T.Graph more or less like a time capsule. This automatic movement provides a decent power reserve of 45 hours and beats at a frequency of 18,000 vph or 2.5Hz.
Design
Be it the SUB 200 or the SUB 200 C-Graph, the 200 is known for sidelining itself from the cushion case. This is not the case with the Doxa SUB 200 T.Graph as it is equipped with the proprietary cushion case. This might be because of taking its ancestral properties from the 60s T.Graph but it is still a SUB 200.
