About the Chronoswiss Sirius Collection
The Chronoswiss Sirius collection harkens back to the brand's legendary chronograph watches, including the world's first serially produced automatic chronograph with a skeletonised dial. In 1995, Chronoswiss created the Opus Chronograph that emerged as a pioneering creation, giving the brand a new linchpin after the regulator watches. Currently, the collection houses two distinct chronograph series, the Opus Chronograph, a fine reinevention for today's generation and the Lunar Chronograph.
The Opus Chronograph
Drawn from the legacy of the 1995 Opus Chronograph that had won the “Watch of the Year” award, today's Opus Chronograph brings a wholesome package of the past and the present. A vintage aviation aesthetic drives its chronograph design, while the pomme-style hands are redolent of the heritage pilot watches. In contrast, the knurled round case, the onion crown, and the arching lugs advance all the contemporary Chronoswiss hallmarks. This pleasing hybrid of sensibilities is elevated by a highly complex skeletonised dial that reveals the watch's beautifully finished movement and four coherently placed sub-dials. Akin to many Chronoswiss watches, the colour scheme of Opus watches is something write home about. Vivid colours are employed for the decoration of the sub-dials and the minute scale at the flange, looking bold and attractive against the skeletonised backdrop.
The Lunar Chronograph
Another addition to the Sirius collection is the complicated Lunar Chronograph. Fitted with the signature case featuring knurled edges and an onion crown, the Lunar Chronograph displays impeccable craftsmanship and a more subtle dial design in comparison to the Opus. Nonetheless, the Lunar Chronograph is heavy on complications, featuring chronograph counters for 30-minute, 12-hour, and running seconds at 12, six, and nine o'clock markers, respectively. Additionally, a moon phase indicator at three is accented with a 0 to 29.5 scale representing the length of a typical lunar cycle.

ABOUT THE MOVEMENT
Like most Chronoswiss movements, calibre C.741S is a modified ETA design adopted from the cam-controlled architecture of Valjoux 7750. This self-winding precision mechanism supports Opus Chronograph watches, powering their hours, minutes, chronograph, and date functions. It is developed in Lucerne, Switzerland, with 25 jewels, a frequency of 28,800vph and a power reserve of approximately 46 hours. It finished par excellence with skeletonised bridges, a perlage-adorned base plate, and CVD-plated rotor featuring Geneva stripes.
